Tips For Choosing a Builder in Huntsville Alabama

March 22nd, 2008 · No Comments

While we can never guarantee a smooth building experience, there are a few things you can do to cover your tracks when choosing a builder. If you feel you have been a victim of fraud, please report it.

When choosing a builder, always ask for references. If you know the areas in which a builder has built, knock on some doors. Homeowners will be more than happy to share their good experiences, but more than happy to share their “not so good” stories! Builders will not willingly share names and numbers of clients that have not had a good experience with the builder. Investigate the builder on your own, and with the help of your Realtor.

Have your Realtor check past sales and gather up some addresses for you to knock on doors. Face to face with previous clients of the builder could be your best source of information and insure you will have a smooth transaction, or make you keep searching for a more qualified builder.

Do some homework before you make one of the largest investments you will ever make! Building the home of your dreams can be such a fun and rewarding experience, if you choose wisely!
